This website has been created by the Friends of the Heritage Village, an incorporated association that has been around for as long as the Heritage Village itself!
We love the Heritage Village and through this website would like to share our passion with you.
The Friends of the Heritage Village work in close cooperation with Rockhampton Regional Council, which owns and operates the Village. Get Married in Vintage Country Style

The Rockhampton Heritage Village is a great location to host your wedding and or reception. Bring the classic look of old cars and vintage Australia to your wedding. Our most popular Wedding Venue is the Australian Shearing Shed which can be used for either the wedding or the reception. Other venues available within the Heritage Village for weddings include the Church, Rackemanns Cottage, Rosewood Cottage and the Amphitheatre which is a great location under a great big gum tree if you are interested in having an outdoors wedding.

Not only are these venues great places to create memories and photos that will last you a lifetime, they are very affordable too.

If you are having your ceremony at one of these locations and hire the Shearing Shed for your reception you will receive a 20% discount on your Ceremony Venue.

The Australian Shearing Shed

This amazing venue is capable of seating 600 guests Theatre style and up to 350 guests Cabaret Style. Great to fit the biggest of families and wedding parties, and other seating configurations can be arranged.

When you hire the Shearing Shed you get a great venue but you also get a lot of inclusions too;

  • Colour Co-ordinated Napkins (when possible)
  • White Linen Tablecloths
  • Bridal Table Valance
  • Round Tables
  • Cake Table Valance
  • Cake Knife

Upon confirming your booking of the Shearing Shed, a pre-payment is required to secure your date.

To View the Shearing Shed please make an appointment with the Co-ordinator who is available Tuesday through to Friday on 4926 8684.

Menu

There are two things about a wedding that people always remember, how beautiful the bride looked and the quality and presentation of the food. The Rockhampton Heritage Village has a great Wedding Menu that will have your guests salivating for years to come.

Options available are

  • 2 Course Buffet
  • 3 Course Buffet
  • 2 Course Meal with service
  • 3 Course Meal with service
  • Deluxe Buffet
  • Summer Buffet

These options have a minimum of 80 adults per booking.

Photo and Vehicle Opportunities

Looking for something different to your usual laneway or limo photos? The Rockhampton Heritage Village has Vintage Cars and a Horse Drawn Carriage available for Hire for use or for just Photos.
Imagine nuzzling up against one of our beautiful Clydesdales or the groomsmen looking dapper around a vintage car.

We have a wide range of Vintage Vehicles for hire;

  • 1926 Rugby (seats four)
  • 1925 Oldsmobile (seats four)
  • 1923 Overland (seats four)
  • 1920 International Bus (seats approx 18)

The availability of our vintage cars may vary from time to time. To avoid disappointment please make your bookings early.

Please know our Venues are not available for functions on Sundays or Public Holidays.

Heritage Village temporarily closed: The Rockhampton Heritage Village will remain closed for approximately twelve months, while Rockhampton Regional Council explores and implements a new business plan.
