Dingley-Cottage

Dingley Cottage

The Dingley Cottage was home to Alice Dingley, who lived in the house in Rockhampton for at least 70 years until her death in 2008. Alice’s family donated the house the the Heritage Village where it is now on display just as it was when she lived there. The interesting story behind the Dingley Cottage is the way in which Alice lived. Up until 2008, Alice lived in the cottage without the use of electricity, running water, or even sewerage , by choice.
